I currently hold the role of Lead Machine Learning Research Scientist at MetaDialog. Prior to my current position, I served as a Post-Doctoral Researcher within Remote Sensing Image Analysis Group (RSiM), Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) during the period of March 2023 to October 2023. Preceding this, I worked as a Machine Learning Research Scientist at Center for Image Analysis (OGAM), Middle East Technical University (METU) from April 2021 until February 2023. Before, I was employed as a Teaching and Research Assistant at Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, METU from September 2011 until April 2021 and contributed to numerous research projects as a researcher at OGAM.

I received my B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at Middle East Technical University, Turkey. During my M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies, I was advised by Prof. Dr. A. Aydın Alatan.

As a seasoned researcher, I have honed my skills in a diverse array of fields, encompassing the full spectrum from theory to practice. My expertise includes but not limited to large language models, generative models, visual representation learning (deep metric learning), content based image retrieval, deep model reduction via knowledge distillation, learned image compression, recognition and (weakly-supervised) detection, semantic segmentation, multi-target tracking, and stereo matching.
